Dental Implants

Why Choose Dental Implants?

Dental implants are often the best treatment for missing teeth.  When a damaged or decayed tooth is removed, both the visible part of the tooth, called the crown, and the root are lost.

A dental implant is placed in the jawbone so that it can fuse with your natural bone and become a strong and sturdy foundation for replacement teeth. Implants can be used to replace an individual tooth or for an implant-supported bridge or denture containing multiple teeth.

Dental implants are the closest you can get to healthy, natural teeth. They will allow you to confidently eat, smile, laugh, talk, play and enjoy all of your regular activities of everyday life without thinking about your teeth.

Bone Grafts

If the implant site does not have enough bone volume to support the appropriately sized implant, you will need a bone graft. Bone loss can be the result of periodontal disease, injuries, cysts, infections or an extracted tooth. Normally, it can be determined if you will need a bone graft from your x-ray and/or Conebeam scan prior to surgery, but in some cases, it is not discovered until opening the implant site.

Bone grafts for teeth are very safe and effective in dental implant restoration. Once it is placed, it will help replace missing bone, stimulate bone formation and increase bone volume.

Dental implant patients experience the benefits of new and permanent teeth, as well as a renewed confidence and improved quality of life.
